Class P3 filters:
High-efficiency filters when used with a half or full facepiece with effective facial seal - prevents highly toxic or irritant particulate contaminants leaking into the respirator. This type of device is used when handling highly toxic dusts or powders, like organophosphate insecticides and radionuclides.
In particularly heavy concentrations of dust, eyes need protection by using a full facepiece, a hood or a helmet respirator.
